WHY ORFER?

Built to withstand everyday life in the food industry

Orfer’s automation systems are designed for demanding production environments and built to run for decades.

  • Hygienic design: Spots that collect dirt and bacteria have been designed out, and surfaces that need cleaning are easy to reach.

  • Built to last for decades: A robust structure and carefully selected components mean a long service life, spare parts availability, and predictable costs.

  • One partner for the entire lifecycle: We built the machine, so maintenance, spare parts, technical support, and remote services are all in one place.

  • Clear to operate: An intuitive user interface and training provided at commissioning shorten onboarding and reduce errors.

  • Easy to maintain: An open structure puts service points within easy reach, and the lifecycles of components from well-known suppliers are known in advance.

  • Safety from the start: Our systems are CE-marked, and for cybersecurity we comply with the requirements of the CRA and NIS2.

  • Less waste: Gentle product handling and soft start and stop functions keep products intact, even in fault situations.

Designed for food industry production environments

The automation system is designed for its operating environment, with hygiene and cleanability requirements taken into account. The structures avoid areas where dirt and bacteria can accumulate. Efficient cleaning has also been considered in the machine design, with easy access to all surfaces that need cleaning. As a result, keeping the system hygienic is quick and straightforward.

Orfer's automation systems are built to withstand production conditions for decades

Orfer machines are built to handle the demands of production: continuous operation, cleaning, temperature fluctuations, and work cycles that repeat day after day. A robust structure and durable materials keep the machine in production for decades, and carefully selected components ensure spare parts remain available in the future. A long service life means predictable costs for the client and an investment that pays for itself year after year.

Service availability

We built the machine, so we also provide service, spare parts, and technical support. Clients never have to guess who to contact when something unexpected happens. We provide the client’s maintenance personnel with the documentation and training they need to manage the equipment independently. When needed, Orfer also offers remote support and repair services for fault situations.

Easy to operate

Good automation doesn't require a specialist on every shift. A clear user interface shortens onboarding and reduces errors. We train the client’s staff as part of commissioning, so that personnel are ready to operate the machine safely and efficiently.

Designed with maintenance in mind

The open structure of our automation systems puts the most common service points within easy reach and gives good visibility into the system. Faults are found faster, and maintenance work goes smoothly without unnecessary disassembly. Components are sourced from globally recognized, high-quality suppliers, so their life cycles are known already at the design stage. This allows service and component replacements to be planned proactively. Supplier selection is based on client feedback and Orfer's own decades of experience in what truly works and lasts in a production environment.

Safety

Orfer's automation systems are CE-marked and meet the safety requirements of the Machinery Regulation. Cybersecurity is an integral part of safety: we comply with the requirements of the CRA (Cyber Resilience Act) and the NIS2 Directive, so the protection of the production line doesn't end at physical guarding. The client gets a machine where safety has been considered from the start, for both the workers and the production process.
