Sami from Orimattila is the first new addition to the recently established Orfer Services team. He has joined the modernization unit, which focuses on extending the lifespan of customer investments through services like software conversions, machine upgrades, and other technical modernizations.

Sami brings a strong background in automation installations. He previously worked as an installation team leader, with his role broadly encompassing electrical and automation design, installation, and commissioning.

In his free time, Sami enjoys packing his bags and heading to his cottage in Ristiina, South Savo. On the forest plot connected to the cottage, forest management tasks, such as clearings, are a natural part of his cottage trips. At home, there's also plenty of activity, thanks to his two dog companions: Kessu, a Cairn Terrier, and Hönö, a Labrador Retriever puppy. They ensure daily walks happen no matter the weather.

Sami is gathering knowledge from senior Orferian about Kawasaki Robots.

Work in his new role has started quickly. Sami has already visited several customer sites with his team leader and has begun to get a feel for Orfer's solutions. His first official task is the modernization of safety logic for a pharmaceutical company.

"The work is constantly challenging. There's always something new and interesting to learn—especially as a new Orfer employee, there's tons of it," Sami shares, explaining how the work keeps his mind sharp.

The Orfer Services team warmly welcomes Sami to the world of modernizations!
