Timo Kangas – New Member of the Orfer Services Board

Timo Kangas, who brings over 40 years of extensive leadership experience in industrial operations, has been appointed as a new member of the Board of Directors of Orfer Services Oy. Timo contributes deep expertise in growing service businesses and international trade—strengthening Orfer Services’ strategic ambitions.

Early in his career, Timo worked as a Project Manager in several major investment projects, gaining broad international experience across various industries including steel, chemical, and food processing.

Later, he founded a company specializing in the import of measuring instruments and industrial expert services. In 1997, he sold the business operations to YIT Services Oy, where he continued working in the service business sector.

In 2004, Raute invited Timo to join the company—marking the start of his career at another Finnish listed company. At Raute, he was appointed a member of the Group Executive Board, tasked with developing and expanding the company’s service business. Timo created a global service strategy that integrated technology and service sales, productized modernization projects, and established local service centers around the world.

After implementing the global service strategy, Timo moved within the Group to serve as Vice President for the EMEA market area, and later as Head of a global business unit. For the past two years, he held the position of Head of Solution Sales before stepping down from Raute.

At the beginning of 2025, the Oulu-based consulting company HTGP invited Timo to take on an advisory role, which he accepted. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of KP-ServicePartner Oy, a company specializing in crane maintenance services.

Kangas explains.
